When Annie was about four years old, she decided to challenge the monkey bars. Perhaps it is not the monkey bars that are dangerous as much as it is the other kids. A boy on the playground knocked her off.  Annie fell on her face and ended up with stitches in her chin.  Well, not needle and thread stitches, but the stretchy suture type.

Monkey bars. The thing of nightmares for parents and the object to conquer for kids!  The five year old son of MomsMinute can go all the way across now,

This seems a milestone worth noting. My big boy who will turn 5 in less than a month (imagine dashes between all those words, I only have a momsminute here) has the ability to cross the entire band of monkey bars at our local park, which has been aptly named “The Monkey Bar Park”.  You have to see the pride in this boy’s face.

I remember conquering the monkey bars as a child.  Getting all the way across really was a huge moment.
