According to my mom, I was a big fan of writing on the walls. I wish I remembered this because now I have a kid who LOVES to write on the walls. What I've tried to figure out is, why? He has TONS of places that are appropriate to draw on, including a nice big easel where he can use chalk, dry-erase markers, or even crayon. And I still catch him drawing on the walls and doors.
I've even asked him why he does this, and of course, he doesn't know. Sigh. Come on, Shak-parents, tell me I'm not the only one here.

Heh, I have a few of them. They tend to do it in less noticable places. I asked and they say they are being artist, My nine year old would tell me because it looks better this way. How different our thinking was on what looks better:)
