“Do me the honor of being my fellow Americans and vote.”

We DVR The Late, Late Show With Craig Ferguson because we adore him and, well, sometimes we’re up late enough to watch him and sometimes we’re too tired so we watch him later. Last night we were actually up late enough.

Mr. Ivy was watching Craig and I was messing around on my computer in my room. He came in and said, "You REALLY need to see this." I went in and watched. Craig Ferguson is a funny guy, but yesterday’s rant was not just funny, it was important. He ranted about how media has turned this election into nothing but tabloid sound bites, and how very, very important it is to vote.

Mr. Ferguson, you can speak for me any day on this issue. Please watch these videos. If you can’t, go here to read the pared down transcript. But watch the videos if it’s at all possible.

Thanks for sharing. This is hilarious!

I just got through posting this at my blog (with a hat tip back here).

When I went to visit my brother and sister-in-law in Southern California two years ago, I had tickets to see the Ferguson show. I planned to bring my copy of his terrific novel, "Between The Bridge And The River," because I heard that if the audience wranglers see you with it they will arrange for him to sign it. Unfortunately, that night's taping got called off and I never got the chance to see him.

I've had to get up unusually early for work this week, and so I missed seeing this live. I'm glad you caught it and called my attention to it!
