I’m getting to the age where I’m going to have to start having regular mammograms. The thought kinda scares me because my mom says they are really uncomfortable. Ah, well. It could be worse.
Blonde Mom writes about someone dealing with having a mammogram because they found a lump. That would be even scarier than just having one because it’s time, huh? I hope the woman is okay, too.

Honestly they aren't too bad. (Especially if you have breastfed.) Just some tugging and awkward manipulating…kind of like a giant clamp. Fun, huh?

So many women are frightened of having a mammogram because someone told them it hurt. I was one of those women who were scared. I am large-breasted and put off my first mammo for 4 years! That is taking a chance with my life but I was so worried about having the test. I finally went and let me tell you, it was NOTHING. It took literally 20 minutes and didn't hurt AT ALL. Of course it was a little embarassing, but so is the Gyno and we live through that. I would 100% encourage EVERY woman to go have their mammo and NOT worry about it hurting. It doesn't at all and I feel like such a ninny now for putting it off for so long. Thank God my results came back ok. I was very lucky.
