    Constant Leaky Diapers

DiaperI am starting to wonder if they make diapers like they used to. My youngest son ends up soaking wet by the time morning comes. This happened occasionally with my other sons, but it was not an every day occurrence like it is with Baby D.

I have tried switching brands, the overnight diapers and using a larger diaper. In addition, I have cut back on the amount of liquids my son drinks later in the day. I always put on a fresh diaper at bedtime. The poor little guy still wakes up soaking wet practically every morning. This little problem is not only gross, it is costly considering the water and detergent I have to use to launder his sheets daily.

I read about something called Diaper Doublers. I am going to try them but will have to order them online. They do not sell them at my local grocery store. In the meantime, I did discover a trick last night. I had some old pull-ups from when I was potty training my other son. I put one on Baby D over his diaper and he remained dry! The pull-up absorbed the liquid that would normally have leaked. Who knows, I might just stick with this method as long as it continues to work!

I remember reading about those diaper doublers a few years ago, and someone on a thrifty community I read said basically they were a maxi pad. So why not just buy some ultra absorbent thin maxi pads and add them into your son's diapers? That's if the training pants deal doesn't continue to work. . .

Good point. They do sell maxi pads at my grocery store so it would be convenient. I might just try that if needed. Thanks!

I just finished potty training my son and it has only been a week but I don't miss diapers. They are suppose to keep things dry but my son woke up every morning wet and through out the day he was wet as well, they just don't make them like they use to!

This is my last one in diapers and I must say, I won't be sorry to be done with them.

I need help. I keep looking and asking, but everyone tends to talk about leaking in terms of urine. I'm a first time mom…has anyone ever heard of this happening? My son has explosive bowel movements. He's breastfed, so they're watery. Every bowel movement ends up on me, his dad, or whatever he happens to be laying on. But today, aww today, he actually used the bathroom and it didn't make it in the diaper at ALL! It shot out the top! He had massive amounts of pooh everywhere. When I took his diaper off, there wasn't any pooh actually inside the diaper. I wish I was making this up. I have tried pampers, huggies, parents choice…I need some help! Please and Thank You.
