I was driving to the grocery store yesterday and Bon Jovi’s latest song came on the radio. It is silly but I thought how proud I am of them! It is not very often that a music group that was popular over twenty years ago is able to successfully come back into the music scene.

I was in elementary school when Bon Jovi released their first album. I was in middle school when their album "Slippery When Wet" secured their claim to fame. That album produced multiple hits and those songs bring back many memories for me.

Last year, Bon Jovi teamed up with country singer Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland. They became the first rock band to reach number one on the Hot Country Songs chart through that collaboration. It is a great song and you can tell Jon and Jennifer had a lot of fun working together.

Bon Jovi has always been a very respectable band. They have stayed clean and out of trouble unlike most rock bands. Their songs have staying power and I am happy to hear new music from them. Their recent songs have not been a disappointment. In fact, they might be writing some of their best stuff right now!

The song I heard yesterday is called "Lost Highway". I liked it right from the opening notes. This mom can keep rocking on! Way to go Bon Jovi!
