Getting a little tired of the same old thing over and over for dinner? Need a little inspiration? You could go spend $3.50 on a magazine, written by people who don’t have to please people ranging from age 1 to 40-something with only one entree, with 500 recipes, 2 of which you will probably ever use. Or you could do a search on Google and come up with ingredient lists ten miles long that include things like tarragon, wasabi, and shallots. Come on now, let’s be honest. You don’t have any shallots laying around, now, do you?
This is, yet again, where mommy blogs come to the rescue. They understand that no one year old is ever going to eat fillet mignon and no self-respecting 30-something man wants to eat peanut butter and jelly for dinner every night.
There are some great mommy blogs out there with special segments devoted to family friendly and easy to make food. Here a few:
Pioneer Woman Cooks from Confessions of a Pioneer Woman You have to try her twice baked potatoes. Comfort food at it’s best!
Jule’s Diner from Everyday Mommy Try her accidental soup, made while trying to clean out her pantry.
And everything over at The Humble Housewife. Great recipes and beautiful pictures.
Do you have an easy-please-them-all recipe you’d like to share? What foods get a thumbs up at your house?
