As parents we get tons of ads products thrown our way every day. You have to have the latest sling, or the lightest stroller, or Heaven forbid you forget the wipe warmer! (A little note: skip the wipe warmer, so not necessary.) With 10,000 ads passing in front of your sleep-deprived eyes, how do you know what you REALLY need? Of course, there are necessities. But when it comes to trends, that’s where it gets tough.
One great current mommy-must-have-trend is the Mommy Card. Meet another cool mom at the park and want to meet up for a play date sometime? Run into an old high school friend at the mall who you soon discover also has her own basketball team worth of youngin’s? Chit-chat up the teenager at the coffee shop who you just know would make a great babysitter? Then you need a Mommy Card!
It’s like a business card, but your business is being a Mommy! Sure, you could make your own, but would they be as stylish and professional as the ones by Angie at Many Little Blessings. The picture above is an example of her work. So cute, huh?
So what do you think? Passing trend or mommy necessity that’s here to stay? Would you use them?

That is such a great idea. I wish they had something like this when I was a young mother going to playgroups and mom's day out programs.

Thank you so much for featuring my Mommy Cards here at Love Shak Baby! What a wonderful surprise!!! (I will make note that there are more designs and they can be purchased right at my online store: http://www.autumndaisy.com)
So…to answer your questions at the end — Would I use them? LOL Yes…I definitely would.
But, in all honesty, I'm sure others will agree (I just got to be the first to comment), I don't think they are necessary. We all have made do with writing on the back of a Starbucks receipt with a crayon that we find on the minivan floor, right? But, I do think they are nice. And, I think they help in showing that Motherhood is not just something you do — it's a vocation. I mean, when my husband meets somebody at a meeting and they feel like they will need to talk to each other later, what would someone think if my husband then said, "Oh — sorry…I'm going to write my information on the back of this Target receipt." Moms are, of course, allowed to do that, but how much cooler to be able to say, "Here's my information," and just hand them a card.
Anyway — thanks again for featuring my cards!!!
