I usually joke and say, "The internets is serious business"- meaning I don’t take a heck of a lot of stuff very seriously. I’ve been embroiled in one too many flame wars to let a lot of stuff online get me angry.
But this just takes the cake. These people are asking people to donate $50,000 within 3 months, or they’re aborting their baby. Assuming they really are pregnant, assuming they are telling the truth, I just want to punch them in the face.
I was very poor when I gave birth to 2 out of my 3 children. Sure, I would have absolutely loved to have had fifty grand to start them out with, but I certainly wouldn’t go begging on the internet for it, and I certainly would not threaten to abort if I hadn’t gotten the money. It’s ridiculous.
These people are playing off the sympathies of pro-life people, for one thing. For another thing, I think they’re totally greedy. They’ve already gotten over $12,000, but is that enough for them? Oh, no. I’ve *never* had $12,000 in my bank account, and somehow I manage to raise 3 children.
Here’s a tip for these people. Get jobs. Or get public assistance. Or, go ahead and have an abortion. But for God’s sake, please don’t beg the internet for money. That’s ridiculous. Say you have the kid and they found out you did this? How would that make them feel? Hopefully some of that money you’re collecting will go to therapy for the poor kid, because obviously y’all are already on your way to screwing them up.

When you go punch them, I want to go with you. This is disgusting. I read it when you put it on Twitter and I did not have a sec to respond.
Please, if we all waited to do things until we could afford to, we would all still be living with Mama.

This is unbelievable. I hope they know that what comes around goes around and however they decide to manipulate others will only come back to bite them is the a**. What if they get the money and abort anyway are they going to return the money?

Welcome to the new world of internet scammers. Paypal just shut them down but they still managed to collect a hefty amount. Usually, when paypal shuts down an account, they reverse all the transactions back to Paypal and then to the donators. However, their website maintains that they were able to keep most of the money, so which means they have been emptying the receiving account frequently. That is not a very good sign at all.
